Christmas 2020 for Liverpool & York | MEC StaffWe wished all at our York site a Joyous Christmas, and a Peaceful and Happy New Year for 2021. Gutted we were denied our traditional Christmas Night out (the first time we have missed in 37-years at MEC). But we hoped the cases and bottles, brought some good cheers and merriment… … which Paul Mac started by (nearly), forgetting his own case ha ha!
To all at our Liverpool Site…
Gutted we cannot have our annual night out, a tradition since 1983! Going out with the Bricklayers, Masons and all staff, has always been the favourite part of my job at MEC. A Big thanks to all the Liverpool Crew, and of course Colin Halliwell for fabulous efforts throughout the year. Bottles and cases for each, and thanks from all at MEC. We hope you had a wonderful Christmas and May Your Yule Have Been Cool. Paul Errock

This despite attempting to be included on the tender list for a 15-year period before eventually conceding we would not be included to provide a quotation. Also being proud sponsors in our history of; Oldham Police Oldham Athletic Oldham Netball Oldham Hospital Oldham Fire Brigade Oldham Apprenticeships Oldham Employment and steadfastly remaining; Oldham based. A Message To all at MEC during Covid OutbreakAs most all current and former employees of Marshall Errock Construction Ltd are aware, since inception of the company in 1983, we have a policy of having regular nights out all over the UK.
In destinations such as; - Manchester - Edinburgh - Newcastle - Glasgow - Nottingham - Aberdeen - Leeds - York - Liverpool - Perthshire..... the list goes on, and we pray that their will be many more good times to come; Our M.D. (Paul Errock), has stated that it is the best part of his occupation, in spending quality time with members of staff, both office and site alike, in a social as opposed to working environment. It develops camaraderie, puts a face to a name, and is meant as a small gesture of goodwill, to all the lads and lasses at MEC. To those that are continuing working on our sites at Nottingham, Stafford, Runcorn and Edinburgh, apologies for having/being forced to have our usual nights out, however... on all live sites, every person this week has been given a crate and/or a bottle of their choice, in thanks for your contribution to The Construction Industry, who often go un-noticed. Well done to you all, stay safe, and we look forward to resuming our catch up's and nights out. FROM ALL THE MEC TEAM. Pictured is Paul Mac & Ian Wilson (calm down ladies they are spoken for), and a selection of the favoured requests... (5-crates only per visit ~ took us 4-weeks stock to distribute to ONE and ALL 🙏 MEC Nominated Employer of the Year | OldhamWOW what an achievement! Not a bad day at the office today... MEC are immensely proud to have been nominated for Employer of the Year, having working collaboratively with Oldham College since the early 90’s in delivering apprenticeships! But recognition today of course, has to go to Reece Macfarlane ! Not only for competing at World Skills UK, but also being nominated for the Distance Travelled Award... and no that doesn’t mean because you’ve been to Edinburgh & Amsterdam Reece. Angela Raynor, Shadow Secretary of State for Education even asked him to build her a garden wall! Will MEC Collect Enough Gold Tickets?MEC staff certainly conquered the Maze - even after a beer or two! Much fun had by all for our staff Christmas celebrations at The Crystal Maze in Manchester!
