Nestled within Edinburgh’s lively Canonmills area, and just a short distance from Stockbridge, Broughton and the Royal Botanic Gardens – Canonmills Garden is perfectly placed to cultivate a new way of living.

The challenges faced during the Covid Era, brought about new working practices, to maintain the highest standards and Safety Health and Welfare.

The site presented many challenges throughout its course but due to the high standards of quality management and the site team’s efforts, we’re proud to have delivered the project with zero HSE reportable incidents.

On a construction site of this magnitude, and complexities of working in restricted areas and access, safety, delivery, program and costs, all remained paramount from start to completion.

The development itself is a pioneering scheme of Artisan Property Developer Hopefield Partnerships who appointed Hart Builders (since re-branded Cruden’s), to deliver a multi-million-pound new housing development at a former primary school in Edinburgh, of low carbon city living.

This whilst meeting the changing requirements of people and communities in a post-COVID world. And the developer has now promised its game-changing blueprint could have significant environmental and investment benefits for Scotland’s cities as it progresses with new home projects planned for more brownfield sites.

Canonmills Garden Scheme is the first of a planned £90M investment in several significant city-centre residential developments.
