Upon successful completion of the site entrance to James Gillespie College MEC are proud to say that they have been awarded the following phase. This is the first phase of a £42 million re-development of the campus which will include an open gallery-like entrance that will be used to display the current achievements of the pupils. This project is forecast to be complete in time for the 2015 school term.

March 2013

MEC are proud to be working alongside McLaren Construction for the first time on a £15m, 70,000 sq ft Morrison Superstore in Bedford. MEC aim to use 100% local labour and resources giving a much needed boost to the local economy.

February 2013

MEC are part of a £192 million scheme which involves the upgrade of 41 schools within Northamptonshire.

This is the largest grouped schools project ever to be undertaken in the UK. With the successful delivery of 41 schools to time, cost and quality, it is a testament to the partnership working between public and private sectors.

The projects MEC have been awarded include;
· Kings Heath School
· Kingsley School
· Castle School
· Brair Hill School
· Standens Barn School

We look forward to once again working alongside Galliford Try on these projects.

January 2013

Morrison Construction have chosen Marshall Errock Construction Limited to complete the entrance to the first phase of the James Gillespie Campus.

MEC have a great working relationship with Morrison Construction which we strive to better and improve upon. Plans to build a state-of-the-art building to accommodate James Gillespie’s High School have now been approved and this is the start of a 2 phase construction for the future pupils of Edinburgh. 

December 2012

Marshall Errock Construction are successfully accredited as HSAS compliant, with continued improvement across the board in relation to Health & Safety, an achievement we are extremely proud and happy with.

November 2012

Marshall Errock Construction in partnership with Morrison Construction successfully handover the Wester Hailes Healthy Living Centre in Edinburgh. The Centre will offer a range of services to the local community including; the Wester Hailes Medical Practice,and community health services such as podiatry, midwifery, dentistry, paediatrics, mental health, and learning disability care. The Wester Hailes Healthy Living Centre is scheduled to open to the public in 2013.

Health & Safety – MEC are successfully reaccredited asCHAS compliant, with continued improvement across the board in relation to policy, management, surveillance, equipment, COSHH, risk assessments, method statements, training, accidents, and monitoring. An achievement we are extremely proud and happy with.

October 2012

Marshall Errock Construction Ltd satisfyingly handover the second phase at Royal Oldham Hospital, including the successful handover of the New Lucy Pugh section of the Hospital which has undergone a 2 storey extension. The new 44M Women and Children’s Centre is part of the Making it Better programme which improves NHS services for children and young people across Greater Manchester. The purpose built Children’s unit is open to the public on the 3rd November 2012, with the Women’s unit due for opening on 3rd December 2012.

September 2012

  Marshall Errock Construction Ltd as planned successfully handover the New Office Development at Cobalt Business Park, on time and within budget. A testament to all the efforts of combined staff who managed and co-ordinated the project.We are proud to be associated with Bowmer & Kirkland and a big thank you for your continued support and recognition of sustained effort and delivery.

August 2012

Marshall Errock Construction’s efforts are rewarded with the award of the New Fleet Garage for Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service. We look forward to working with Marshall Building Contractors and the challenge of maintaining and improving our local employment policies, health and safety incentives, program delivery, environment, ecological and waste awareness. And more importantly delivering a project the client is happy with.

July 2012

Following the successful completion of Carnegie College, and Aggreko Manufacturing Unit at Dumbarton, MEC completes further follow on works for Morgan Sindall with the completion of student accommodation buildings at Edinburgh Heriot Watt University, value £1.2M.

The new residence buildings replace residences built in the early 1970s, and are planned as a contemporary re-interpretation of the traditional university quad courtyard plan, surrounding an outdoor social space, designed to be used as an extension of the indoor space living space, Edinburgh weather permitting of course.
