It may be early but hey-ho! We’ve already gone ahead with the Christmas bash going to Breakout in Liverpool. An amazing day with an amazing team! Have a very early and very merry Christmas
This year, October is going to be a very busy month for the MEC team starting 3 new projects for Lane End, Wharfedale and ISG.
Lying just outside the city, construction begins for Lane End on the Stretford project early in the month on modern houses + flats.
Moving over into the Northern part of Yorkshire, we’ve started on the 42 plot housing project, although we’re not looking forward to the grim weather to come later this year.
And later in the month, we have secured a project to carry out an extension on to Leeds College of Art & Design for ISG
Continuing with the residential projects, we’ve secured a further 2 contracts in Wythenshawe and Dalton, Thirsk.
In Wythenshawe, we’re looking to start on 18 houses + 2 apartment blocks for Kier Living after glowing reviews from working with Kier in Leyland.
Consisting of 42 plots of between 2 – 5 bedroom houses in the quiet Yorkshire countryside overlooking the picturesque scenery, Wharfedale Homes will breathe new life into the local community.
Moving over to West Yorkshire this time, we’ve confirmed a start on a project in Ilkley and Bradford.
Located beside McCarthy & Stone Retirement Home in Ilkley, the new care home facility will provide specialist assistance to those suffering with dementia. Construction on this project begins within the month working with PDR Construction
Just over to the West of Bradford, McDermott Homes plans to bring a range of traditionally built homes to the area that are sure to be a pleasant addition to the area.
MEC’s estimating team has been working hard this month managing to procure another 2 projects
The first we’ll be working with Rowlinsons located in the Altrincham area – the Kids Allowed Nursery chain is bringing another addition to the North West becoming one of the largest childcare providers throughout
We’ll begin construction soon on the second project in Leyland consisting 172 two and three bedroom apartments for Kier Living
We’ve had a good start to the Summer securing a further two projects with Towerhouse Systems + Rowlinson Construction, both in the Manchester area.
Located in Stalybridge, Armentieres Square will see the construction of 67 private rental apartments which are expected to be completed in September.
The second project, in Stockport will be building 20 new 2, 3 + 4 bedroom houses which expected to keep us busy until Christmas later this year.
Marshall Errock Construction Ltd established in Oldham since 1983 completing sample panels for the forthcoming Library Development, for the town once world-wide renowned as ‘The King of Cotton’.
The mock up is one of several ideas in regards feature courses, indents, header courses, weather struck,, recessed and jointed pointing, displaying various brick bonds and type, which are being considered whilst working in conjunction with Gilbert Ash Construction.
Crowthers Construction, another Oldham based business provided the excellent example of concrete works pictured above .
Oldham’s answer to Brad Pitt is our very own infamous bricklayer – Mr Reece McFarlane as always looking very dapper, come rain or shine, with a smile that he rarely hides.
Supervising the works was Mr Barry McFarlane, who declined to be on the photo, as he stated he does not like the attention he gets from the ladies whenever a picture of him is posted
In recognition of our site staff’s efforts at Kelso High School, Morrison Construction has stated that due to our consistently high standards of Health + Safety, the project has been completed with 0 hours lost.
A proud moment for MEC, especially since the additional Health + Safety award from the #1 construction company in the world – Vinci earlier this year.
Together with Tyson Construction, we have completed Mariner’s Park Care Home for seafarers consisting of one or two bedrooms, apartments + bungalows overlooking gorgeous scenery.
Showcasing traditional brick building to high standards, interfacing with steel and UPVC products to produce an attractive, modern facade – we’re excited to be working with Tyson again soon.
Paul Errock (Managing Director) and Adam Errock (Procurement Director) sending our congratulations to Liam Welsh (Quantity Surveyor) and Oliver Errock (Assistant Buyer) in recognition of their consistent efforts, achievements, and commitment within Marshall Errock Construction Ltd and to say well done to both. Very much looking forward to working alongside Norbord on their prestigious £120M development here in beautiful Inverness.
No sign of Nessie though!
But, there is a sign of Marshall Errock Construction (Scotland) Ltd being launched later this year and we’re looking forward to forging long lasting partnerships with existing and new clients.
Finally, a Happy St Patricks Day to all.
